New Horizons Dual Language School

¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to New Horizons Dual Language School. NH is a two-way dual-language elementary school in the Nampa School District with a focus on developing academic and linguistic skills in both English and Spanish. We currently serve students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

At NH, every student is a second-language learner. This creates a special environment where students learn to lean on each other for support as they navigate through new academic content and a new language. As a result, our students become a tight-knit community of learners who strive to master the Idaho Core standards in two languages. In the process, they become bilingual, biliterate and bicultural.

Another exciting facet of NH is our use of technology to transform instruction and provide personalized learning opportunities for our students. We are proud to be part of Nampa Personalized Learning. Our students have access to technology both in a computer lab and in their classrooms. Our teachers use technology to create new and exciting learning opportunities for students. Our students use technology across all academic areas to expand their learning and demonstrate what they have learned.

If you would like to enroll your kindergarten student at New Horizons Dual Language School, you will need to attend one of two kindergarten information meetings held in the spring. (Please check our website for the dates.) Enrollment for kindergarten is through a lottery.

Parents seeking to enroll a student in grades 1-8 must contact the school at (208) 468-4623. Enrollment of students in grades 1-8 is considered on a case-by-case basis and is dependent upon the availability of space.

Focus schools are open to all students. Students who live within the school's boundaries attend focus schools as their home school. Students who live in another school's boundaries or who live outside of the Nampa School District are welcome to apply to attend a focus school through our district's open-enrollment process.
